A Victorian door, set in an ornate
architrave opens to a most impressive room, perfect for relaxing or
entertaining. Dimensions are 20ft x 40ft. The floor has been crafted
locally using spalted and flaming beech and stained oak. A central feature
of the lower part of the music room is an
antique carved wooden fireplace.
Other adornments include elegant exposed stained wooden beams and gilt
wood corbels which add a strong architectural interest to this large
room. A 10ft high window set in stone looks out on to the front gardens
and the Moongate. The room is complete with a John Broadwood and Sons
figured walnut baby grand piano. A variety of ceiling and table lamps
illuminate the room and there are also dedicated spot lights for a picture
gallery. Visible too above the fireplace, are the the twin stained glass
windows acquired from a famous public house in South London.
